La Sagra della Pezzata (Festival of Pezzata) is now well known throughout Molise and beyond. During the event, set against the backdrop of the beautiful Prato Gentile plateau, you will be served grilled lamb and boiled sheep meat with aromatic herbs.
The traditional dish of Capracotta originates from an ancient custom: it was the meal of shepherds during their days spent grazing sheep in the mountains.
This tradition is kept alive thanks to the Sagra della Pezzata, where only high-quality meat is served, all accompanied by the smiles and kindness of the organizers.
At the end of the event, you will receive a small souvenir consisting of a wooden fork, a bowl, and a terracotta cup.
